If the Rockies get productivity from money spent— particularly from first baseman Justin Morneau and pitcher Brett Anderson— then Colorado can rise up the standings. HITTING The third-through-eight portion of the lineup certainly gets the party rocking, especially at Coors Field, more so than any other team in the division. Third-slot Carlos Gonzalez, cleanup-hitter Troy Tulowitzki and bottom-ofthe lineup Wilin Rosario are all good bets to hit 25 homers, not to mention 20 HR potential in fifth-and-sixth men Michael Cuddyer and Justin Morneau, as well. Why the Rockies lead off with Drew Stubbs and D.J. LeMahieu, we’ll never know, but if they do get on in the first inning, it could be a long day for whoever is on the mound. Gonzalez (.591), Tulowitzki (.540) and Cuddyer (.530) all slugged over .500 last season, while also posting impressive on-base percentages (.367, .391 and .389) on top of the stadium-friendly numbers.
