2014 Minnesota Gameday HQ Round 2

The fantasy baseball season is a grind, but with careful planning and strategy throughout the season, a well-earned championship awaits you. Fantasy baseball is a perfect example of a game that can be considered more of a marathon than a sprint. It’s nearly impossible to build a team that can win every week in a head-to-head league. Some teams start off strongly while others quickly fall near the bottom of the standings. Some fantasy baseball players are convinced they nailed the draft while others enter the season unsatisfied with what they have. The one thing that remains constant is that persistence is needed to succeed in the long run. The odds are always against you in fantasy baseball. With anywhere from eight to 16 teams (or more) competing for a league championship, it can be very tough to be the one team that wins the title. There are bound to be plenty of injuries, plenty of players who fail to live up to expectations, and plenty of slumps along the way. However, with sharp roster management, patient owners can improve their chances enough to become one of the favorites to go all the way. Each month brings its own unique challenges and opportunities, so here are some tips for the long haul that can help guide your team to victory whether you’re a grizzled vet or a wide-eyed rook.
