Can’t Touch These Records are made to be eventually broken, or so they say. When it comes to these 10 high marks, it would take huge undertaking to knock them off their lofty pedestals. Hidden Constellations Everyone knows the LeBrons, Kobes and KDs of the League. The light that they give off is impossible to ignore, but lost in the bright glow are some hidden stars that shine pretty brightly. 2K All The Way The best NBA videogame in the market only continues to get better. LeBron James ended his South Beach sabbatical, opting to return home to finish the job he first set out to do: Bring championship glory to Northeast Ohio. As James goes, so does the stars that follow his gravitational pull, bringing the likes of Kevin Love, to team up with the budding Kyrie Irving in Cleveland. A crowded Western Conference field— the L.A. Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns—guarantees that the Spurs’ road to their first repeat is anything but certain. While things look good for the Cavaliers, the four-time Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat remain strong, the return of Derrick Rose and addition of Pau Gasol boosts Chicago’s continuing title hopes and the polar vortex of the surging Toronto Raptors can freeze any opponent. A Spurs-Cavs Finals matchup might seem fashionable in the season’s opening tip, the NBA landscape can change quickly when the postseason comes around.
